The Adult Nurture Committee provides opportunities for Immanuelites and visitors to continue to examine their Christian faith and how that faith informs their individual lives and their roles in the church, the community, and the world. From September through May these issues are explored:
1. in adult Sunday discussions.
2. in Tuesday evening gatherings.
3. during Lent the Lenten soup suppers.
Prime Time Extended Learning Center
In 1982, the members of Immanuel saw the need in our neighborhood for quality, affordable childcare. Prime Time was formed to meet that need.
Prime Time is not "church school" but a safe, loving environment in which children can play with friends and be themselves .
Children, youth and families are important and central here at Immanuel. We take our commitment to nurturing their body, mind and spirit very seriously.
Our purpose is to provide a warm and welcoming place for them to learn of God’s love and kindness. Younger children may not always understand what is being said, but they can understand that this is a place where they are loved and accepted.
Our spiritual education program emphasizes Christian tradition and practices through word, music, art and various other learning styles. We also encourage a respect for other religious traditions.
