SUNDAY MAY 12: Bridging the Gap – How does bridge building impact students?

This powerful and affirming film, referenced in Simon’s Greer’s conversation last week, highlights an individual student’s transformation as they go through the process of Bridging the Gap.

Elizabeth Stewart, a student at Spring Arbor University, a Christian institution, reflects on her personal journey as an evangelical Christian and racial justice activist, her commitment to seeking cooperation across differences, and the challenges and rewards of this work.

SUNDAY MAY 19:  TED talk: A Palestinian and Israeli Face to Face

How can Israelis and Palestinians achieve peace? Palestinian peacemaker Aziz Abu Sarah and Israeli peacemaker Maoz Inon discuss the immeasurable tragedies they’ve experienced growing up in the region – and how they choose reconciliation over revenge, again and again. With a fierce belief in a better future, they talk about conflict, safety, finding shared values and how they’re building a coalition of Israeli and Palestinian citizens who are intent on creating a path to hope and peace.
