IPC Trekkers Resumes – Cabin Fever Reliever

April 6 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

View the sound and through the woods with Mindy Cox and Beth Prevo. We’ll visit Point Defiance Park. This 400-acre natural area contains old growth trees, abundant wildlife, and nearly 4 miles of trails. Our walk will be a mix of trail and paved, through old growth forest and 5-mile drive outer loop, with access to stunning viewpoints around the sound. Meet at the Fort Nisqually Picnic Shelter 9 a.m. sharp. Folks interested in carpooling can get organized in the IPC parking lot at 8:40 a.m.

One of our favorite birders, Cindy Caldwell, hopes to be able to lead the first 20 to 30 minutes as a bird watching time. Bring binoculars if you’ve got them! Also bring trail snacks and water and wear good shoes or boots. Possible April showers, so plan for rain or shine. Mindy’s cell is 253.678.5832; Beth’s is 253.906.5696.
