IPC Pilgrimage 2019
June 22 @ 9:45 am - 12:00 pm
Join Pastor Eyde Mabanglo on guitar, Parish Associate Beth Prevo, Worship Elder Jonny Eberle, and other members of Immanuel on a spiritual pilgrimage, a search for the spiritual in the world of the physical. All areas of this pilgrimage are wheel-chair accessible. Our morning will begin with hot drinks and snacks at 9:45 am in the Fireside Room and will end in our Sanctuary around 11 am. Along the way, we will make about seven other “stops” in different areas of the Immanuel campus. At each stop, participants will hear a brief history of the space, listen to a reflection on how the space ties into our spiritual lives, and join in a prayer. We will slowly move to the next stop in the pilgrimage, singing together. If you’d like to help with this event (hospitality, reading reflections, etc.), contact Beth Prevo at email@example.com. Space will be limited so all can hear comfortably.
In 2009 Immanuel Presbyterian Church celebrated the 100th anniversary of the sanctuary building. One of the events held in the celebration was the pilgrimage that this 2019 event is modeled on. THAT pilgrimage was inspired by the all-day pilgrimage that IPC pilgrims to Iona Scotland make every trip.
