Jonelda Murphy Remembrance

A remembrance of Jonelda will be held at Immanuel in Fellowship Hall.

September 3, 1936 – January 27, 2021
Tacoma, Washington – Longtime resident Jonelda Murphy passed away peacefully due to complications from Covid-19. Jonelda worked for over 30 years as a purchasing agent for Pierce County, and was a long time member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. As a Deacon she always loved reaching out and caring for others. She also loved working in her flower beds where she felt closer to God.
She is survived by her daughter Terry Billingsley (Byron) of SeaTac, son Frank Murphy (Beverly) of Tacoma, step-daughter Anne Marie Murphy of Spanaway. Preceding her in death, daughter Laurie Grose of Ashford. Jonelda also has 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Leo’s Food Connection Food Bank in her name.
