Lenten Gathering via Zoom 2021
March 31 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Jeff Wolff spent most of his life navigating a family devastated by drug & alcohol addiction. During this talk he will share some of his experiences through that time. This includes being taken from his mother in a drug bust, changing schools 11 times during K-12, and how he overcame his challenges. He will end his talk with where he is at today, what he learned, and where he wants to go.
From age five Jeff Wolff has navigated the challenges of having teen parents and a family devastated by drug & alcohol addiction. During a drug bust in first grade, Jeff was removed from school by police, only to see his mother being taken into custody. Screaming and afraid, he was placed with his loving Grammy and began a journey of changing schools 11 times during K-12. With the help of many people and families, including his father who he met in 8th grade, Jeff started to shape his life as a driven young adult that took control of his own future.
Today, Jeff is married with two kids and actively making a community impact as the Community Engagement Manager for WorkForce Central and Co-Lead of the Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force. Additional highlights are tech school graduate, foster parent at age 23, local business owner for 13+ years, 25-248 Precinct Committee Officer, and planning to run for Franklin Pierce School Board.
Jeff plans to continue learning through his lived experiences and actively equipping our young adults with tools needed to successfully enter the workforce. Impactful change to a broken system and creating relevant programs are his long-term goals.
