Summer Ramble

August 10, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

August hikers will head to Point Defiance Park.

As the largest urban park in Pierce County, the network of roads and trails weaving through the forest preserve provides a quiet retreat for joggers, cyclists, and hikers.
There are many hiking trails along Point Defiance’s cliffs that have sweeping views of Vashon Island, Dalco Passage, Gig Harbor, and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. The road network also passes by Fort Nisqually.

Meet at 9 a.m. in the church parking lot to carpool.

IPC hikers embark on a monthly ramble that takes us to trails, some short and others longer, throughout the area. Hikes will normally be on the second Saturday of the month, and destinations will be announced in advance so be sure to mark your calendars. We meet in the IPC parking lot to carpool. Sometimes a nice lunch in a local café happens…
