Theology on Tap via Zoom
March 24, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Dr. Cindy Caldwell and Pastor Tad Monroe co-host this monthly gathering where we explore and discuss various topics through a theological lens. Theology means the study of the divine and the divine’s relationship to the world, thus we will explore the nature of the divine and the application of that understanding in our world; with both our heads and our hearts. To receive the monthly readings please email Cindy at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the mailing list. Reading encouraged but not required to attend. Upcoming topics can be seen below. Please join us!
**COVID UPDATE** – Normally we meet in a pub but during these times of quarantine and social distancing we are taking Theology on Tap on-line via ZOOM. You can access our meeting at this link. Feel free to have your favorite beverage with you.
We have the waiting room enabled. You need to have your name on your account (not Owner, Galaxy, Fire, iPad etc..) so when you show up we can let you in.
Political theology is a term which has been used to discuss the way in which theological concepts or ways of thinking relate to politics. Throughout much of early history some would argue that many theological concepts were secularized to create much of our political and governmental approaches and perspectives. This is often a “hotly” debated topic when it comes to America. Are we a Christian nation? What do we do with Christian Nationalism in the forms we see it in today? Join us for a conversation about the cross section of theology and politics just a few days before a momentous election in our country.
